New Year's Party in San Diego
Dec. 31 2006 - Jan. 6 2007
The city was San Diego California, the place was Patrick’s II, and the event was a New Year’s Eve Party. Holy flying roadrunner feathers! What a blast a party. What else can a band ask for? There was swing’n blues and flowing beer and a great group of people. If you are ever in San Diego, you need to check out Patrick’s II.

Then our first new club of the New Year was in Alpine Texas at the Railroad Blues Bar. This bar has cornered the market in Alpine. Picture this…a small college town where the closest large city is about 100 miles away (Midland) and with a one of the best bars in the state in it. A diamond in the rough, if you will. We enjoyed homemade Sangria and a bonfire in the parking lot. That’s right I said a bomb fire in the parking lot. Our props to the Railroad Blues Bar, we hope to be back soon.

What a way to start the New Year!

Hottest Tour Of The Year
August 2nd - 13th, 2006
What a hot and hard swing’n adventure this was?
Well this trip was very impressive. We had Cody Lowery playing drums for us once again and Scotty Boy Daniel on board playing harp as a King Of Pleasure. Now this group of fellows proved to be an unbelievable combination. I don't know what was hotter? The weather or the band.
Now our first stop was at Riley's in Midland Texas, where we sold a cd to almost everyone in the bar. Then we were at the Gila River Casino near Phoenix Arizona. This is where we hung out with Sef (thanks for getting us that hotel room). Everyone should experience Phoenix in August. And The French Quarter in Tucson didn't know what hit'm. Now that was some of the best Louisiana cuisine I've ever eatan. Then the fun just kept getting better when we played The Londoner in Santa Clarita California for the first time. And when we played the Pachenga Casino with Tracy Nelson, there was no stopping the flow. Not to mention we met one of the best sound engineers we've ever worked with (and she was definitely the prettiest). And last, the grand finally at Patricks II in San Diego. Two nights in a row we blue the roof off. Man! Now those were really fun gigs.
Those were the hottest two weeks I've ever spent playing the blues. And I mean that on a couple of different levels.

To The Beach
June 22nd - 25th, 2006
We went deep south this time.   We just had to go back to play a few clubs down and around Mobile Alabama.
Let me just say I learned a few things on this trip that should have been common sense.   One, Mobile is very hot and very humid in June.   Two, aspirin is the best pain killer for a serous sunburn.   Three, Destin Florida is beautiful in every way possible.   And four, never carry an eighty-pound keyboard up 30 steps by your self.
But all the pain was more than worth it. We played at Bilotti’s in Mobile, The Pub in Fairhope, and Traders (the 30 steps) in Spanish Fort Alabama. We met a lot of really nice people in South Alabama. We met people who said "I never knew I liked the blues." That was a great compliment.
We would like to thank Les "Boogieman" Skinner for joining us on stage. And a special thanks him and his entire family for their hospitality.

Remember The Alamo
May 25th - 29th, 2006
The first stop of this tour was at Blaney’s in Kansas City Missouri. What a way to start. Our good friends Scotty Boy Daniel and Jerry Riccardi joined us for an exceptional evening of swing’n blues. Thanks fellows you made our night!
Then we jumped on over to East Peoria Illinois for some good ‘ole seafood at Jonah’s Oyster Bar. It was our first time there and we loved it and the crowd gave us much love back. The food and the waitress were great!
Oh and the night off we spent in Chicago was incredible. We had chance to see some really good bands and eat a delicious Chicago style Pizza. Chicago is a beautiful city.
On to Morris Illinois to Clayton’s Tap. We’ve been there several times now and love it every time. Morris is almost an hour south of Chicago. Clayton’s is one of our favorite places to perform. Thanks Mike!
Last but definitely not least was the Alamo in Springfield Illinois. That joint brought a whole new meaning to the phrase “remember the Alamo”. We played on, what they call, Blue Monday. Blue Monday is hosted by the local blues society. So everyone was there to see a blues band. We felt like kings. We met some really nice folks, made some new fans, and sold a number of CD’s. Thanks for such a warm welcome.

On The Road to Cali Again
March 21st - 31st, 2006
So off on another long trip we went...    After three days of traveling we finally reached our first stop, the Gila River Indian Casino. It was there where we met up with our old pal Sefarino Varela along with his girl Elizabeth. Together they were whooping and holloring enough for the whole place. It sure was good seeing them again. And it is really nice to see familiar faces and friends on the road.
Then we arrived at Patrick's II in San Diego. That's when we started blasting off. Our special guest and great friends, Tracy Nelson (lead/rhythm guitar) and Ryan Ramos (harmonica), joined us for a marvelous show. And the gigs are always better when friends and family show up to support you. Thanks everyone.
Then came BB's. What a night to remember. There we were at B.B. King's Bar in Hollywood California inside Universal Studios. We had so many friends family there I thought I was at home. Tracy and Ryan joined us on stage again along with some other of our close friends. Our good buddy Derick Quinn, or "Q" to us, who use to live in Shreveport, got up and helped us bring some Louisiana flavor to Hollywood California. Then we brought George up to jam a little bit on the drums. You couldn't ask for a better dude. Don't ask me to spell his last name, I can't even pronounce it. But then when Oscor, Dan's 17 year old nephew, got up and blew the roof off with his Stevie Ray Vaughn style of guitar playing...man it was on. Now that boy can really play.

To top it all off. Management at BB's offered us a house-band gig. That's right! A HOUSE-BAND GIG AT B.B. KING'S!
Sadly, we had to decline it. 2,000 miles is a very very long way to travel once a week.
All in all, it was a very productive trip, and a trip full of good times and good friends, new and old.

We would like to send a special thanks out to Rita (Dan's mom), Don (Rita's husband), and Uncle Billy (down the street) for putting up with us and giving us a place to stay and for all the help. We really appreciate everything you've done.

Preserve the blues.
